Working with PSD Files
Opening PSD Files
Drag and drop a .psd file onto Vtila or use File → Open. Vtila reads the PSD structure including individual layers, layer names, opacity values, and visibility states. Complex blend modes are flattened for compatibility.
Editing Layers
Each PSD layer appears in the layer panel. You can toggle visibility, adjust opacity, rename, reorder, and delete layers. Paint on any layer with the brush, eraser, or fill tools. Add new layers on top of your existing PSD structure.
Saving Back to PSD
Use File → Save as PSD to export your work back into a .psd file with all layers intact. This means you can round-trip files between Vtila and Photoshop without losing your layer structure.
Supported PSD Features
Vtila supports raster layers, layer opacity, layer visibility, layer names, and basic group structures. Some advanced features like smart objects, adjustment layers, and vector masks are flattened on import.
